Communication Collaboration: Changing a constantly changing mind for the better.

How to surrender into the flow of communication and cultivate fresh thinking.

[ 1 min read ]

I’ve now witnessed my extremist thinking and capacity for winning arguments over many years. My education in business supports such thinking and skill. If it’s not A, it’s B. There is no “A-ish” or “A until the full moon” - and I’ll tell you why. Door closed.

There is a certain sense of pride that comes with figuring something out and being certain of it. A breakthrough in thought, a result, something to underline. What a feeling of accomplishment. Right?

Turns out that in life, this very accomplishment is rather useless. And I’ll tell you why. Door opening…

A change of heart, of opinion, or viewpoint as one learns and grows — that’s what life is. How could anyone cling to one view as they breathe into the next moment, when each moment reshuffles the cards, new information emerges, and the world keeps turning?

I’ve found that a mind full of curiosity and honest inquiry is much more powerful — and so much more fun. It sets the stage for fresh thinking, the foundation for evolutionary insight and ever-opening doors.

Committing to a communication collaboration dance means engaging in dialogue openheartedly. It means sharing viewpoints, listening actively, catching new ideas as they arise, and building on them. Through mutual exchange — open, fluid, and trusting — something new, something unexpected, has the chance to emerge. That is true accomplishment. Had the conversation stayed rigid, or had one’s perspective been held too tightly, that precious insight might have never seen the light of day.

There’s no place for solo victory here; this is a team triumph. No one ‘won.’ Both gained. That is communication collaboration.

Go play.
